CETRAD invites,
On 16 January 2025, from 10am to 1pm, to the open lecture of the PhD in Development, Societies and Territories, with the theme “Well-being Barometer for Low-Density Territories in the North of Portugal”.
Presentation by Vanda Vereb and Ana Hungara
Vanda Verรฉb is a researcher and academic with over a decade of experience in management consultancy, advising multinational corporations and governments in Europe, Asia and Africa. After completing her PhD in Strategic Management at the University of Minho, Portugal, she carried out post-doctoral research at GOVCOPP (Research Unit in Governance, Competitiveness and Public Policies) at the University of Aveiro, focusing on cosmopolitan consumer behaviour. She then joined CETRAD (Centre for Transdisciplinary Development Studies) at the University of Trรกs-os-Montes and Alto Douro, where she contributed to sustainable territorial development initiatives and led the well-being team in the Data4LowDensity project. She is currently a researcher at CICET – Centre for Research in Business Sciences and Tourism and a guest lecturer at institutions such as ISAG – European Business School, the Vietnam National University of Economics and the London School of Design and Marketing. Her research covers sustainability, communication, tourism and strategic management.
Ana Paula Gomes Hungara is a doctoral student in Business and Economics at the University of Aveiro and a researcher at GOVCOPP (Research Unit in Governance, Competitiveness and Public Policies). Her research focuses on Consumer Culture Theory and Consumer Communities. She has a master’s degree in Economics and International Business and a degree in Languages and International Relations from the University of Porto. Last year, she collaborated on the Data4LowDensity project at CETRAD, University of Trรกs-os-Montes and Alto Douro, where she coordinated focus groups with local stakeholders and contributed to the development of a well-being barometer for low-density territories in northern Portugal. Her research interests include consumer behaviour, cultural consumption and community dynamics.
