The Thinking Smart project sets an innovative goal: supporting HEIs in contributing to and contributing from Smart Specialisation The Thinking Smart project sets an innovative goal: supporting HEIs in contributing to and contributing from Smart Specialisation.
The Thinking Smart project seeks to address issues of European interest through an innovative approach. The specific objectives are:

  • Identify innovative and successful ways for HEIs to contribute to the strategic direction of RIS3;
  • To engage in a collaborative process to identify gaps and challenges on the role of HEIs for regional growth;
  • Design a toolkit to support HEIs in improving their contribution to RIS3, ensuring that it benefits their overall strategy;
  • Develop a policy briefing note and actively engage policy makers at regional, national and international level;
  • Create a support network to facilitate the exchange of good practice between all RIS3 stakeholders.
