GEOARPAD: Património cultural da Euro-região Galiza-Norte de Portugal: Valorização e Inovação (Concluded Project)

Description:

The GEOPARD project aims to enhance the common cultural heritage of Galicia and Northern Portugal, as an element of identification, social cohesion and cross-border and transnational structural development. These are some of its specific objectives:

• To develop an information system, processes and digital reference systems for governments, universities and other social agents involved in management;
• To preserve and promote cultural heritage, enabling its use by sectors such as tourism, research or education;
• Promote social participation in the processes of management and use of cultural heritage;
• To develop and test strategies, tools and management instruments for the valorisation of cultural heritage (cultural, natural, material and immaterial), through pilot experiences such as the study of the Galician-Portuguese common lexicon or the Portuguese Inland Way of Santiago de Compostela.
