Graduated in Social Work from UTAD in 2002. PhD in Social Psychology and Anthropology from the University of Salamanca in 2014. She is an Assistant Professor in the bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in Social Work at the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro.

She has organized several events and participated in national and international congresses. Its main research interests are: health and social work; spirituality in social work; ethnographic method and social intervention; gender equality.
