Holds a degree in History (University of Coimbra) and has completed post-graduate studies in History (University of Porto), Information Science (Portucalense University) and Heritage Management and Local Development (Polytechnic Institute of Viseu). Has further completed the official Course for Senior Local Government Officials (Foundation for Studies and Training in Local Authorities) and a master on Administration and Public Management (University of Aveiro). Currently a PhD candidate in development studies, at University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro, his research entails territorial-based public policies in culture. In relation with background education and under professional practice, he is author to several projects in librarianship and archival science, museology and cultural heritage, at local governments.
