Environmental engineer graduated from the University of Aveiro, with a master’s degree in Urban Environmental Planning and Design from FEUP/FAUP. Senior technician at CCDRN since 1994. Currently in the Innovation Unit, supporting Industrial Licensing. Participated in the FRONTSH1P project for the circular economy. Experience as Director of the Municipal Department and Regional Coordinator of the Healthy Neighbourhoods Programme. Representative in various national and international initiatives on Circular Cities and the Circular Economy.
Representative in the CCP Observatory for Working Groups, focussing on the future of post-COVID cities. Alternate member of the Inland Housing Working Group. Coordinated the CCDRN’s NSRT, supporting the drafting and management of the Regional Spatial Planning Plan. Participated in the review and implementation of spatial planning and management programmes. Chairman of PDM review committees in Castelo de Paiva and Santa Maria da Feira.
Responsible for the strategic environmental assessment of Municipal Spatial Planning Plans, in particular the SEA for the revision of Porto’s PDM in 2020. Coordinator of the initial work for CCDRN’s participation in the Driving Urban Transitions project. Regional representative on the Healthy Neighbourhoods Programme and the CCP Observatory. Coordinator of the working group for the future PROT Norte and the evaluation of PROTN 2009. Collaborated on various land-use planning initiatives and proposals between 1994 and 2021.
