She holds a degree in Journalism from Mackenzie University, Brazil (2004); post-graduation in Environment and Society from the Foundation School of Sociology and Politics of São Paulo – FESPSP, Brazil (2008); and a master’s in Social and Solidarity Economy from the University Institute of Lisbon – ISCTE, Portugal (2018).

Currently, she is a PhD student in the Development, Societies and Territories doctoral programme at the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro, Portugal.

Her main research interests are Political Ecology, Transformative initiatives, Just and Inclusive Transitions, Post-development, and Desirable Futures. She strives to analyse practical experiences that propose an ecosystem transformation beyond the commodification of life and nature.
