He has a doctorate in Management and a master’s degree in Accounting from ISCTE Business School (ISCTE – IUL). He graduated in Management from ISEG and in Economics (University of Évora). He has a specialisation course in Management Control (HEC-ISA, Paris).
He is an Associate Professor at the European University – UCs in Financial Management, Management Control, Management Accounting, Entrepreneurship, Applied Project, Management Seminar in undergraduate, master’s and doctoral programmes (Portuguese and English). He is Coordinator of the Master in Management.
He has several international scientific publications and is a peer reviewer for international journals. He is a researcher at BRU (ISCTE-IUL). He has received several scientific awards in Portugal and abroad. He has also published several articles and technical books.
At company level, he has held management and executive positions in various organisations in the industrial, distribution, financial (venture capital) and banking sectors.

Research interests: Quality Management, Institutional Theory, Organisational Change, Management Control, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Balanced Scorecard, Management Accounting, Public Sector Management.
