He holds a graduate degree in Geography and Planning, with Urban and Regional Development Specialization (2002) from the University of Minho. He also holds a post-graduation in Tourism, Land Planning and Management (2007), from the Fernando Pessoa University, a Post-Graduation in Geographic Information Systems (2007) from ISLA, and a Master´s degree in Ecology, Environment and Territory (2010) from the University of Porto.

Currently, he is a PhD student in Development, Societies and Territories at UTAD. He has worked on several projects in the Municipality of Paredes, from Urban and Regional Planning to GIS, Sustainable Development, Sustainable Mobility, Climatic Changes and Tourism.
