José Rosário is a PhD student in Agribusiness and Sustainability at the UTAD (University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro) and University of Évora, Portugal. He holds a Master’s in Rural Sustainable Development from the Czech University of Life Science Prague and he has demonstrated his expertise through his teaching of Economics of Natural Resources and Agricultural Economics at the Faculty of Economics, Universidade Katyavala Bwila, Benguela-Angola. José’s research interests lie at the intersection of agribusiness and sustainability and modelling the adoption of agricultural sustainable practices.
José’s current research topic is “Designing Regional AKIS to Enhance the Adoption of Agroecological Innovations by Small Farmers of the Sub-Saharan Africa: The Case of Angola and Zambia.” Through this research, he aims to become an expert in modelling the adoption of agroecological innovations by small farmers in the sub-Saharan Africa region. José’s ultimate goal is to design regional AKIS that can enhance the adoption of sustainable agricultural practices and contribute to the development of the sub-Saharan Africa region. José is also a doctoral fellow of the Foundation for Science and Technology, Portugal.
