He holds a graduate degree in Agricultural Management (2001) and Management (2002), as well as a master’s degree in Public Management (2014) from the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro.

He is currently a PhD student in the Development, Societies and Territories programme, which aims to contribute to developing innovative solutions in Local Territorial Development.

In institutional terms, he has collaborated on several projects in the Municipality of Vila Pouca de Aguiar, namely in the production of the Local Culture, later in Cost Accounting, and then in the institutional relations with the Portuguese Diaspora community. Currently, he collaborates with the Directorate Support Centre, in the Institute of Social Security of Vila Real.

In non-institutional, professional terms, he collaborated with Banco Comercial Português, as a national commercial supervisor, and currently, he oversees several businesses in the tourism and jewellery industries.

His main research interests are Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Territory Development via Tourism.
