Ana Sofia Silva is a PhD candidate at UTAD. She received a BA in Communication Design from the Faculty of Fines Artes, Porto, in 2013 and a Master’s degree with distinction in Communication Design from the ESAD Matosinhos, in 2017. She currently works as a graphic designer, instructor and entrepreneur.

Her research interests include the creative industries in low-density areas and creativity as a tool for regional development.
