The AgroServ (Integrated Services Supporting a Sustainable Agroecological Transition) project is focused on developing a resilient and sustainable agrifood system by addressing the challenges and threats to agriculture in a holistic and systemic manner. Through extensive collaboration across research infrastructures (RI), AgroServ integrates services spanning from molecular science to societal impact, covering a wide range of scientific disciplines, including the social sciences.

Central to the project is the goal of establishing a transdisciplinary approach within the Transnational Access Framework (TNA). AgroServ adopts a multi-level participatory model that engages different stakeholders:

  1. Internal stakeholders such as RI access managers, working package (WP) leaders, and TNA scientists.
  2. Successful TNA users, building on their insights and experiences.
  3. External scientific stakeholders from agroecological initiatives, fostering broader collaboration.
  4. Non-academic stakeholders, bringing societal perspectives to the forefront.

The World Café: “AgroServ: Towards Transdisciplinarity” held on September 27thonline, facilitated by the UTAD-CETRAD team, aimed to bring together the internal stakeholders of the AgroServ community. The event focused on:

  • Identifying strategies for integrating cross-, inter-, and trans-disciplinary knowledge.
  • Exploring collaborative pathways for achieving AgroServ’s core objectives: Sustainable Food Systems, Agroecological Transitions, and the One Health Approach.

This approach highlights AgroServ’s commitment to transdisciplinary integration, promoting collaboration across diverse fields to build a sustainable agricultural future.
