The AgroServ (Integrated Services Supporting a Sustainable Agroecological Transition) project is focused on developing a resilient and sustainable agrifood system by addressing the challenges and threats to agriculture in a holistic and systemic manner. Through extensive collaboration across research infrastructures (RI), AgroServ integrates services spanning from molecular science to societal impact, covering a wide range of scientific disciplines, including the social sciences.
Central to the project is the goal of establishing a transdisciplinary approach within the Transnational Access Framework (TNA). AgroServ adopts a multi-level participatory model that engages different stakeholders:
- Internal stakeholders such as RI access managers, working package (WP) leaders, and TNA scientists.
- Successful TNA users, building on their insights and experiences.
- External scientific stakeholders from agroecological initiatives, fostering broader collaboration.
- Non-academic stakeholders, bringing societal perspectives to the forefront.
The World Café: “AgroServ: Towards Transdisciplinarity” held on September 27thonline, facilitated by the UTAD-CETRAD team, aimed to bring together the internal stakeholders of the AgroServ community. The event focused on:
- Identifying strategies for integrating cross-, inter-, and trans-disciplinary knowledge.
- Exploring collaborative pathways for achieving AgroServ’s core objectives: Sustainable Food Systems, Agroecological Transitions, and the One Health Approach.
This approach highlights AgroServ’s commitment to transdisciplinary integration, promoting collaboration across diverse fields to build a sustainable agricultural future.
