On 8 October, ECO held a debate on the role of the economy in defending and valuing the forest, at the Belém Cultural Centre. The event, which was attended by the Secretary of State for Forests Rui Ladeira, also saw the presentation of the ECOFOR.PT study – Economic Valorisation of the Goods and Services of Portugal’s Forest Ecosystems, by UTAD university professor and CETRAD director Lívia Madureira.
