On International Tourism Day, 27 September, UTAD draws attention to its Tourism degree, which has been running for 25 years.
The first academic year took place in 1998-1999 at the Chaves centre. At the time, the course lasted five years, including a full-year curricular internship, and was called โ€˜Recreation, Leisure and Tourismโ€™. To celebrate this fourth century, the vice-director of the course, V. Joukes, decided, together with 3rd year students, to dedicate their Seminar classes last academic year (2023-2024) to the following challenge: updating the database of students who started the course (Recreation, Leisure and Tourism), interviewing approximately one student for each academic year, writing and publicising an e-book with alumni biographies.
The digital book will be presented to the public on the day!
