Join us at the From Research to Working Life: Students as Knowledge Brokers for Entrepreneurial Development (ReWo) conference, where academia and industry intersect to foster innovative educational practices and entrepreneurial initiatives. This event culminates a project enhancing educational and research structures within academic institutions, promoting collaboration with international placements. The goal is cross-collaboration between higher education and industry, enhancing university curricula to meet industry needs, empowering students for better job prospects, and driving innovation. The conference aims to bring together researchers, educators, students, and industry professionals to exchange insights and explore collaborative opportunities in shaping the future of workforce development.

Prospective authors from all disciplinary backgrounds are encouraged to contribute to and help shape the conference by submitting their abstracts. Among others, the conference wishes to address the following topics:
 Integrating Industry Insights into Higher Education Curricula
 Empowering Students as Agents of Change
 Innovative Approaches to Industry-Academia Collaboration
 Curriculum Co-Creation: Engaging Industry in Educational Design
 Student Entrepreneurship: From Idea to Implementation
 Addressing Skills Mismatches: Aligning Education with Industry Needs
 Leveraging Tourism Trends for Entrepreneurial Development
 Sustainable Tourism Practices: Opportunities for Innovation
 The topics listed above are intended as suggestive guidelines. Other proposed topics are welcome.

 Truls Engström, Ph.D. – Associate Professor at the University of Stavanger – Norwegian School of Hotel Management
 Cristina Leal M.Sc. – Vice president of the World Federation of Tourist Guide Associations
 Mari Angeria M.Sc. – Senior Lecturer at Lapland University of Applied Sciences
 Gregor Jagodič, Ph.D. – Assistant Professor at the University of Maribor – Faculty of Tourism

Important dates:
 The deadline for submission of abstracts (300-500 words): September 15th, 2024
 Notification of acceptance: September 30th, 2024
 Early bird registration deadline via registration form: October 1st, 2024
 Full paper submissions scheduled for spring 2025 will be announced after the conference with detailed submission instructions and author guidelines.

Submission guidelines:
Expressions of interest and abstracts of up to 500 words should be submitted through online form.
Submit it via online form.
The abstract should clearly state the objective of the presentation, the (preliminary) findings and their significance to the call. The recommended structure of the abstract: title, introduction, method, findings/discussion, conclusion, and keywords. Author names, affiliations, and the e-mail address of the corresponding author should be included.
Each author is welcome to present up to two submissions. At least one of the authors must register for the conference if the submission is to be included in the final conference program.

Publication opportunities:
All accepted abstracts will be published in a book of abstracts. The invitation for full paper submissions will follow the event. Full papers are expected to be due in spring 2025. All submitted full papers will have the opportunity to be considered for publication. The final decision will be made based on a double-blind peer review by the Editors. Submitted papers must not be under consideration by any other journal or publication. Selected full-text papers will be published free of charge in one of the following journals:
